For many lovers of cycling, Easter means mountain biking in the Centre. And it's a love that began decades ago. Here, Maria Cicchini is receiving a trophy as the best and most consistent woman rider, according to the description scribbled on the back of the photo. It's being presented to her by Tony Muscat, a well-known local cycling identity, parachute instructor and member of the Verdi Club in Alice Springs. In 2004, after his passing, a memorial cycling sprint event was named in his honour.
